Our OCT sensors offer various scanning functions. Through the combination of controller, sensor and software, the technology enables high-precision measurement of surfaces, distances, layer thicknesses and volumes or structures inside the material. The respective measurement mode depends on your application.

The various scan functions result in a wide range of possible applications, for example in the packaging technology, automotive, pharmaceutical and medical technology industries.

Depending on the application, we offer the right sensors. Basically, measurements can be made in 1D, 2D and 3D. The measurement takes place without additional axes and kinematics, since the beam is formed in the respective sensor and thus offers maximum flexibility.

We provide you with all the components from a single source - from planning to the development of suitable software solutions to the clearly prepared visualization of the collected data.

Operating principle and technology.

Our sensors are based on the principle of white light interferometry with the advantage of fast point measurement. We combine the high precision of a classic white light interferometer with the advantages of light section sensors, such as flexibility and suitability for production.

Different reflective properties enable the inspection of multi-layer, translucent materials. The core of our sensor technology is the use of a broadband light source with a spectral evaluation unit. The backscattered light interferes with a given reference path.

The short-coherent property of the light results in absolute distance measurements. Several measuring points can be combined to form an image. Depending on the configuration, selective measuring rates of up to 250 kHz can be achieved. The measurement takes place without additional axes and kinematics.

Software solutions

Our MV.IMAGING software framework offers you maximum flexibility. In addition to basic functions such as the recording, evaluation and storage of measurement data, individual software packages are available for various applications. Features such as user management, databases and data visualization are integrated according to your requirements.

Machine vision

We combine our OCT sensors with industrial machine vision platforms to guarantee efficient inspections of dimensional accuracy, presence, defects, pores, voids, wobble dimensions, position and 3D shape measurement. In addition to our MV.SENSE sensors, we also use matrix and line cameras as well as profile sensors to implement vision solutions.

Automation

We offer the right automation modules for our MV.SENSE sensors. Using the appropriate PLC modules, we can integrate all common hardware and software interfaces according to your requirements. Thanks to the combination of suitable handling systems and conveyor technology, our inspection processes can be seamlessly integrated into your production.
